At the SPS IPC Drives 2015 (hall 6, stand 430), M&M Software GmbH will present the final version of the Device Integration Store, an online platform for device manufacturers, systems suppliers, and plant operators. This platform is offered to end users free of charge and supports the localization, installation and updating of software and device integration artefacts.
After the product had been presented to the public at the HANNOVER MESSE Industrial Exhibition early this year, M&M Software GmbH will now launch the first release of the cloud-based software product Device Integration Store at the SPS IPC Drives 2015 in Nürnberg. The M&M Software cloud platform enables device manufacturers and end users to centrally administrate their FDT® 1.2 and FDT2™ DTMs via the Device Integration Store portal in private or public repositories and to share them with other users. Device manufacturers are also able to provide their DTMs to their customers via individually customized areas. The integration of the Device Integration Store in third-party applications such as engineering and commissioning tools or mobile apps is also possible via the provided API – thus turning the Device Integration Store into a central platform for device manufacturers, system suppliers, and plant operators.
With the official release at the SPS IPC Drives, Device Integration Store will become an integral part of the fdtCONTAINER application, including e.g. integrated user support for the determination of the required setups as well as for the installation and updating of DTMs. Future versions of the Device Integration Store will include upgrades for additional device integration standards such as FDI, IO-Link, or EDDL device description files – thus providing fully integrated support for “Device Integration“ (di).
For this solution, M&M Software relies on Microsoft Azure™ in order to ensure maximum security, availability, stability, and performance.
